Black conservative attacked for being … black conservative.

Candace Owens, a black conservative, has discovered the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, has no such sentiment for her.

It was Douglas Ernst at the Washington Times who reported Owens, who works for a conservative non-profit called Turning Point USA, “found herself face-to-face with antifa protesters this week who screamed, blew whistles, and bellowed into megaphones while she tried to order breakfast.”

“The incident,” he reported, “which also featured Turning Point’s founder Charlie Kirk getting doused with liquid, was captured on film and shared on Twitter.”

Owens tweeted: “To be clear: ANTIFA, an all-white fascist organization, just grew violent and attacked an all-black and Hispanic police force. Because I, a BLACK woman, was eating breakfast. Is this the civil rights era all over again?”

The confrontation, which included protesters screaming obscene threats such as “fascist piece of s—!” and “f— white supremacy,” followed by only days Owens’ improper suspension from Twitter.

She had been mimicking racist tweets by Sarah Jeong, a new member of the New York Times’ editorial board.

Fox News reported Twitter later apologized to Owens for its actions.

“We have restored your account, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” said the message, which Owens shared on Twitter. “Twitter takes reports of violations of the Twitter Rules very seriously. After reviewing your account, it looks like we made an error.”

There was no name attached to the message, which appeared to be a stock note from Twitter’s support team.

Owens thanked her supporters, writing, “BLOWN AWAY by the amount of patriots that just came to my side to make this happen.”

Owens had ridiculed Jeong, who has posted racially offensive tweets aimed at the New York Times and others.

Owens had taken the language of several of Jeong’s tweets but changed the object of the racial tweets from “white” to “black.”
